Josephus, if his writing on the crucifixion is authentic, is writing 90 years after the event, when ChristIANS have become significant to Jews.
And if his writing is authentic, then he is no Jew anyway, as he refers to Jesus as the Messiah.

Exonerating the Romans was a clever move, if you look at the history of the Church.
Even if Jesus existed, he was so insignificant to the Jews that they didn't bother writing down their side of the story.
